Help to manage your account online

Register for online dealing and account management

The information set out below on making a purchase, switching investments, making withdrawals and maintaining regular savings plans summarises the corresponding provisions in the Prospectus for the relevant fund. The Prospectus contains full details and its terms takes precedence over the summary set out below. Please ensure that you have read and understood these terms before taking any action.

Direct Clients

Existing Clients with Investments

Setting up an account online is simple. Be sure to have the following details to hand before starting the process: Client Reference (this can be found in the top right hand corner of your Artemis Statement), address and email details.

Step-by-step guide:

  • On the Online services page, select the Direct Client option to Register Now.
  • Enter the your Account Details and Email address.
  • Set a security question (not more than 100 characters) and set an answer (not more than 50 characters). You will need to remember this question and answer in order to access your account when you first login with the password received in the post.
  • You will then be issued with a system-generated User ID. You will need to make a note of this User ID to be used in conjunction with your PIN when accessing the system.
  • The registration process is now complete. A password will be sent in the post to your registered address, which you should expect to receive within three working days. You will need to change this password when you login for the first time. Your new password must be between 5 and 12 characters and consists of letters and numbers.

New Clients

When a new investor purchases an investment online, you will automatically be registered for the service, generate a User ID, and a PIN will be sent to you in the post.

Before registering you will need the following:

  • Your bank details
  • Your debit card details
  • Your National Insurance number (for ISAs only)

Agents

Registering to manage clients’ accounts online is simple. Be sure to have the following details to hand before starting the process: Agent Code, FCA number and post code.

Step-by-step guide

  • On the Online services page, select the Agent option to Register Now.
  • Enter your Agent details and postcode.
  • Set a security question (not more than 100 characters) and set an answer (not more than 50 characters). You will need to remember this question and answer in order to access your account when you first access the system with the password received in the post.
  • You will then be issued with a system-generated User ID. You will need to make a note of this User ID to be used in conjunction with your PIN when accessing the system.
  • The registration process is now complete. A password will be sent in the post to your registered address, which you should expect to receive within three working days. You will need to change this password when you login for the first time. Your new password must be between 5 and 12 characters and consists of letters and numbers.

Logging in for the first time

  • Once you have received your computer generated password in the post, you will be able to access the system.
  • Enter your User ID that was set up when you first registered for the system, followed by your single-use password.
  • Answer the security question with the answer you set when registering for the service.
  • Enter a new PIN consisting of letters and numbers.
  • As you enter the system, you will need to accept the Terms and Conditions.

If you ever suspect someone knowing your User ID and PIN, please contact the Client Services team on 0800 092 2051 who will disable your current PIN and send a new PIN in the post.

Forgotten your user ID?

Direct Clients

  • Within the Direct Client box on the Online services page select ‘Forgotten User ID?’
  • Re-enter the details supplied when you registered for the service (Account Details and Email).
  • Your User ID will be supplied through the system on the following screen.

Agents

  • Within the Agent Box on the Online services page select ‘Forgotten User ID?’
  • Re-enter the details supplied when you registered for the service (Agent Code, FCA number and Post Code).
  • Your User ID will be supplied through the system on the following screen.

Forgotten your user PIN?

Direct Clients

  • Within the Direct Client box on the Online services page select 'Forgotten PIN?'
  • Enter your details. The service will then request a new PIN to be sent to you in the post.
  • On-screen confirmation that your PIN has been reset.
  • Once you request a new PIN, your existing PIN will be immediately disabled. The new PIN will be sent to your registered address.

Agents

  • Within the Agent Box on the Online services page select ‘Forgotten User PIN?’
  • Enter your details. The service will then request a new PIN to be sent to you in the post.
  • On-screen confirmation that your PIN has been reset.
  • Once you request a new PIN, your existing PIN will be immediately disabled. The new PIN will be sent to your registered address.

Making a purchase

You can either make a lump sum purchase or set up a regular savings plan. If you wish to do both, you will need to purchase a lump sum that registers you for the system, and once you receive your password for the system you will be able to complete your regular savings plan transaction online. A simple step-by step process is provided below:

  • Make sure you read, understand and accept our Online Transaction Terms and Conditions.
  • You will need to select the product you would like to purchase: Maxi Stocks and Shares ISA, Mini Stocks and Shares ISA or a Unit Trust from the Invest Now menu. For more information on these products, please visit Our Products.
  • Select whether you would like your income reinvested or paid out to a bank account.
  • Enter the amount you wish to invest in either the Lump Sum or Monthly column, as required.
  • Remember to tick the acknowledgement box at the bottom of the page, that you have read the Key Features incorporating Simplified Prospectus, and click Continue.
  • Please enter your bank details and confirm the account details and collection day. All fields marked * are mandatory. Once all your details have been entered click Continue.
  • You will be shown a summary of all the details you have given us. Should you wish to change anything select to Edit the page, make any changes and click Continue when you are satisfied.
  • The Acknowledgement page detail your investment, including the Deal ID and Reference No. You may wish to make a note of these details should you have any queries regarding your recent investment.
  • A confirmation of your investment will be sent to you in the post.

How to make top ups to your investments

  • From the Invest Now menu – select the investment that you would like to make, an ISA or Unit Trust.
  • Select the investment you wish to top up from the list of investments. If you only hold one investment, you will automatically be directed to this holding.
  • Next step you will be asked to confirm your address details to ensure our records are still up-to-date and correct. If you have selected to invest in an ISA, you will be asked to confirm your National Insurance number.
  • Select your investment, select if you wish to reinvest income or have income paid to a bank account. Enter your investment amount in the required column – Lump Sum for one-off investments or Monthly Amount for regular monthly investments paid by direct debit. Be sure to tick the box that you have read the Key Features incorporating Simplified Prospectus before selecting Continue.
  • Next enter your Debit Card details for payment purposes.
  • If you have selected a fund that pays dividends, please provide the Bank Account Number, Account Name and Sort Code and complete the Direct Debit Mandate.
  • Details of the Top Up will display on the following page. If these are correct, select Continue. Otherwise choose to Edit the page and amend the incorrect details.
  • You will then need to accept the product Declarations before the final Acknowledgment can be shown.
  • The Acknowledgment screen will list your Deal ID and Reference Number, which you may wish to make a note of in case you have any queries regarding your new investment.

Making a switch

From the Manage Your Investments menu, select Switch.

You may select to move cash amounts or units from one fund to another fund or from one fund to multiple funds.

  • Select the fund you wish to move your investment out of and select which product to switch your investment into. You can either switch all funds in this product or select an amount, unit or percentage to switch.
  • Select the fund you would like to switch into. If you would like to switch into multiple funds, please enter the percentage switch into each fund – your total percentage would need to equal 100%.
  • If you select to invest in an ISA, you will be asked to confirm your personal details – including National Insurance Number if we do not hold one for you already.
  • If you have chosen to switch into a fund which distributes income, you will need to confirm the bank details for the proceeds to be paid in to.
  • Select Continue to see the Confirmation Details page and then the Declarations for the relevant investment.
  • The final acknowledgment screen will confirm you Deal ID and Reference Number.

Making a withdrawal

  • Select Withdrawal from the Manage Your Investments menu.
  • Select the investment you would like to withdrawal funds from by entering the Amount, Units number or Percentage alongside your chosen investment. Alternatively, select the ‘All’ box to withdraw all investments in that fund.
  • Confirm the details of your Withdrawal by selecting Continue alternatively, if you wish to amend any details, select Edit to change details.
  • The final step is the Acknowledgement; please take a note of your Deal ID and your Reference Number for your records.

A contract note will be sent to you in the post, which you will need to sign and return in order for us to release funds.

Maintain regular savings plan

Select the Regular Savings Plan Change from Change Your Information on the main menu.

  • Select the Account/Product where you wish to amend the regular savings plan.
  • Enter the Monthly Amount alongside the fund to which the change is to be made. Please note, any value entered here will replace existing amounts currently listed on your regular savings plan.
  • Confirmation of Details will provide an overview of the changes. If anything is incorrect, select to Edit these details at the end of the page or select Continue, if details are correct.
  • The Acknowledgment page provides the reference details for your regular savings plan amends. You may wish to make a note of these details, should you have any queries regarding your changes
